our services

grey area studio offers a more involved approach to designing garments and accessories. through rapid iterative prototyping combined with exceptional digital design, our clients are getting more than just a nicely drawn idea, that may not actually add up once in fabric and thread. G.A.S. is fully immersed, from original concept to patterning, prototyping, tech packs, materials sourcing and manufacturing management; drawn out over three phases:

phase+I.jpg

phase I

dissemination, research, design. we work in tandem with you to define and deliver a design solution that matches your product brief. through this process we ready product techpacks (essential for dealing with manufacturers), offer textile recommendations and create mockups + prototypes in house to confirm design direction.

phase-II-much-slower.gif

phase II

we have strategic partnerships in place with some of the best technical apparel and softgoods factories that will bring your designs to life. phase II is all about product development; from first sample through approval to production. This is the most intensive and lengthy phase as we take concepts from the digital world to reality. Most importantly, we validate our ideas on body, ensuring products function as intended.

phase III-2.png

phase III

with designs validated, phase III is when we hit ‘go’ and the manufacturer produces your products in bulk. we manage this whole process, consulting on PO facilitation, quality assurance, packaging support and logistics assistance. we do the heavy lifting and let you focus on telling your brand’s story and connecting with customers.
